About

I’m Angela Ying Neubauer, an Austrian-Chinese designer and artist based in Vienna. With a background in industrial design, my practice is deeply rooted in speculative design and worldbuilding, with a personal passion for storytelling.

Operating as a design generalist across artistic research, physical object-making, and digital processes, I explore themes of ecology and interdependence in a rapidly advancing technological landscape.

Driven to make hopeful futures tangible, I aim to spark conversations with my work about our individual and collective roles in shaping what is to come, and what to leave behind.

When I’m not happily immersed in a project, you can find me strategizing with Trotz Kollektiv or tending to my colony of 58 tomato plants.
